Cub Scout Promise and Law
Every Cub who joins the Pack has to make the same promise and keep to the same law as every other Cub in the country. Although the promise and law may be worded differently in other countries, to allow for cultural and religious differences, these have the same meaning as those used throughout the world for members of the Scout Movement:
The PromiseCub Promise (294k) I promise that I will do my best |
The LawCub Law (246k) Cub Scouts always do their best, |
The Salute and Sign
All Cub Scouts in the UK make the same sign and salute, which are used at meetings, and at special events.
The Cub Scout Sign

The Cub Scout Salute

The Handshake
When Cub Scouts shake hands, instead of using their right hand, as is normal, they use their left hands instead. This is because using your left hand is a sign of great trust.
